Mariz also revealed that no one from the camp of President-elect Duterte tried to apologize or even talk to her after the said incident.
“From their end, walang lumapit o nakipagusap man lang. I am not expecting any apology pero wala man lang nakipagusap from their end. Iniintindi natin iyan because sa mga coverages natin sa kanya (Duterte), talagang sinasabi niya na ganoon talaga siya and meron pa nga siya sinabi na pabiro noong previous press conference na baka di raw perfect si God because he created him that way. And meron pa siyang sinabi na kapag daw nagbago siya, eh hindi na siya si Rodrigo Duterte.”
The reputable GMA news reporter concluded her interview by saying that as a journalist, she values professionalism and dedication to her work above anything else.
“Again, iniintindi natin. It may have been improper from a President-elect but, of course, we will continue to do our job. We are not expecting any apology from him, personally.”
