Mariz Umali after being catcalled by Rodrigo Duterte : “I’m not expecting any apology”

Days after being catcalled on national television, reputable GMA 7 news reporter Mariz Umali shared that she is not expecting for an apology from President-elect Rodrigo Duterte.

In an interview with Kara David on GMA News TV’s morning news program, ‘News To Go’ on Wednesday (June 1, 2016), Mariz admitted that she found the President-elect’s gestures improper.

Apparently, President-elect Rodrigo Duterte whistled and serenaded the reputable news anchor during his recently concluded press conference in Davao City.

For the first time ever, Mariz shared what really happened at the said press conference from her point of view by narrating:

“Nung narinig niya yung pagtatanong ko, yung first part of my question, parang napansin ko kasi siya na hindi niya alam kung saan nanggagaling yung boses (ko). Iwas at the back kasi nag-report pa ako ng live sa ’24 Oras’ during that time so medyo nahuli yung pagpasok ko sa mismong press conference. So I just told him, ‘Sir, I’m here,’ in the middle of my question para di ko na siya hayaan pang maghanap kung nasaan yung boses naggagaling. Doon na niya (Duterte) sinagot na parang nagpapapansin daw (ako) tapos sumipol na (si Duterte) and then later on, kumanta.”
