The case against ‘Tawag Ng Tanghalan’ grand champion Noven Belleza has been lowered by the Cebu City Prosecutor’s Office from rape to sexual assault. Bail was recommended at P120,000 since sexual assault is a bailable offense.
Belleza was accused by a 19 year old lady singer for allegedly molesting in a condominium where the singer is staying.

In a report published by Inquirer.net, Cebu City Assistant Prosecutor Ma. Theresa Casiño ruled that the proper case to be filed in court against Belleza should be sexual assault.
Belleza’s lawyer Leilani Villarino said rape can be filed by a woman when a man forcibly penetrates her with his genital organ while sexual assault is when a person who inserts his or her fingers or any other object into the genitals of another person.
