In a statement made by Sotto to Rappler.com, the senator welcomed the MTRCB inquiry and confidently said that the regulatory board will be able to see that his intention was to protect the institution of marriage.
“Anyway, it’s a welcome development if MTRCB looks into [the] matter. They will see that I was merely moralizing for the protection of [the] institution of marriage,” Sotto told Rappler.
Meanwhile, the MTRCB emphasized that its jurisdiction is over programs and not over hosts or personalities after some netizens called for Sen. Sotto’s suspension from ‘Eat Bulaga’.
