Based from the official statement sent to the entertainment site Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) on Wednesday (July 1, 2015), the management denied Nocos’ allegations.

According to them, “Basing on our records, Mr. Nocos became ill in the year 2013. The company allowed him to go on sick leave paying him his monthly salary in full. This went on for 6 months.”

The management also said, “After that period, he recuperated from his sickness. He presented to head office a medical certificate stating that he is fitted to work again. He reported back to the salon branch, his illness has been on and off and sad to say, the salon was not doing good since it started business, so management decided to close shop.”

However, the complainant is still determined to file cases of discrimination, illegal dismissal, underpayment of 13th month pay and wages, non-payment of holiday pay, and separation against them on the National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC).
