Season 1 Ultimate Male Survivor Mark Herras was asked if he feels threatened over fellow Kapuso star Alden Richards’ sudden popularity.
The Starstruck alumnus also gave his reaction on the issue that Alden outshines him as the latter is not a winner of any talent search, yet he has made his way through fame and was even dubbed as the “Pambansang Bae.”

Mark said Alden is his friend and did not thought of Alden as outperforming him. He said, “Si Alden kasi is a very good friend of mine. Parehas kaming taga-Laguna, mag-kapitbahay kami.”
The 28-year-old actor also added that he feels happy and proud of Alden’s success.
He said, “Okay lang sa ‘kin ‘yun. Kahit sino pa ‘yung nasa harapan ko, kahit sino pa ‘yung nanggaling sa likod ko na umabante, at sumikat sa ‘kin, ako I’m happy.”
“Natutuwa ako kasi and I’m so proud kasi si Alden kasi napaka down-to-earth na tao ‘yan eh, napakabait na tao n’yan si Alden Richards and alam ko hinayaan sa kanya ‘yan kasi bine-bless lang s’ya ni Lord,” added Mark.
Along with Kris Bernal, Miguel Tanfelix and Rocco Nacino, Mark will give the daily updates about the hopefuls’ series of artista challenges. Starstruck Season VI begins on September 7, 2015 on weekdays before 24 Oras.
