Melai Cantiveros was named as “The Face” of Your Face Sounds Familiar last Sunday, June 7 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater at Resorts World Manila. However, netizens express their disagreement with the result through social media. Many said RnB singer JayR and Acoustic Icon Nyoy Volante should win.
Jed Madela, one of the show’s judges, posted his sentiments to those people who seem to be in disagreement with their decisions before on Twitter. In his Instagram post, he even congratulates Melai for being the very first Your Face Sounds Familiar Philippines Grand Champion.
In an interview with Jed Madela on TV Patrol, he mentioned, “Episode 1 pa lang dami na kaming nakuhang mga bash.. we all know that people have their own opinions but you can’t combat kasi you know whatever you do whatever you say meron talagang.. there’s going to go against it.. it was the decision of madlang people, it was their turn to choose and they chose Melai. ”
