“La Luna Sangre” actor Richard Gutierrez was charged with several criminal complaints by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) on Thursday (August 17, 2017).
On April (2017), the actor faced charges of tax evasion for not paying P38.57 million worth of taxes. Now, Gutierrez is facing another set of complaints after BIR accused him of submitting fake documents to the government.

BIR said, “He falsified his annual income tax return for 2012 and quarterly value added tax returns for second, third and fourth quarter of 2012 in violation of Article 172 of the Revised Penal Code in relation to Article 171 of the same law.”
In a press release by BIR, they stated that the actor perjured his documents during his defense for his tax evasion case.
