2015 Metro Manila Film Festival winners

The 41st Metro Manila Film Festival held its annual MMFF Awards Night last Sunday (December 27, 2015) at the Kia Theater to give recognition to the outstanding films that made it to this year’s lineup.

2015 MMFF had eight official entries namely “All You Need Is Pag-ibig,” “Beauty and the Bestie,” “Buy Now, Die Later,” “Haunted Mansion,” “Honor Thy Father,” “My Bebe Luv,” “Nilalang,” and “Walang Forever.” The MMFF Awards Night was hosted by Kapamilya star KC Concepcion and Kapuso artist Richard Gutierrez.

Of all eight films, “Nilalang” tied with “Walang Forever” after bringing home the most number of awards that night. The film won the Best Editing, Best Film Editor, Best Cinematography, Best Festival Sound, and Best Festival Musical Score categories for this year.

Moreover, “Walang Forever” lead stars Jennylyn Mercado and Jericho Rosales bagged the Best Actress and Best Actor award, including the Best Screenplay, Best Original Story, and the controversial Best Picture award of this year’s festival.
