In a sudden turn of events, the movie “Honor Thy Father” was disqualified from the Best Picture Category by the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) executive committee.
Honor Thy Father director Eric Matti shared the letter from MMFF organization duly signed by its overall chairman Atty. Emerson S. Carlos.
Direk Matti captioned the photo with the following message:
“What is this? Tinatanggal na nga kami sa mga sinehan and now this? #honorthyfather #mmff2015”
On her Instagram account, Actress Angelica Panganiban also shared the same photo and expressed her sadness over the development:
“Nakakalungkot to.. Nakakalungkot.. Heart breaking..”
