What’s your take on the traffic rerouting for APEC 2015?

People took to social media their disappointment after being stuck in heavy traffic for hours last Monday, November 16, 2015.

In preparation for the upcoming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit happening on November 17 to 18 2015, the Metro Manila Development Authority implemented a new and temporary traffic scheme in Metro Manila.

A number of roads were closed to the public–such as Roxas Boulevard–to pave way for APEC delegates. However, on the first day of the implementation of the new scheme, a dreading traffic greeted the streets of Metro Manila–leaving commuters with no choice but to walk.

An Instagram post by GMA News shows people walking from Cavite to Baclaran attempting to find passenger vehicles.

While a separate Instagram post shared by tv personality RR Enriquez depicts how congested the streets are because of the lanes reserved for the delegates.
