The family of veteran actor Tirso Cruz III chose not to let the public know that he has been in a battle against cancer. In the year 2014, Tirso was diagnosed with stage 2 lung cancer.
But during the actor’s advance birthday celebration last March 28, 2015 at the Valencia Events Place, Tirso together with his family happily announced that he is now cancer free.
“The most wonderful news that God has given me [is when the doctor said] ‘You are 100 percent cancer free’,” Tirso said during the party which also serves as a thanksgiving mass.
Tirso underwent a surgery at St. Lukes Medical Center to remove a lump on his lungs.
Tirso added that what kept him strong besides the love from his family is his faith with God, he said that he was showered with miracles of healing.
The veteran actor will turn 63 on April 1, 2015. It will be a celebration of life indeed.
