Surigao del Norte Rep. Ace Barbers endorsed actor Coco Martin a “celebrity advocate for a drug-free Philippines.” The endorsement is due to Coco’s effective portrayal of a policeman in “Ang Probinsyano.”
In an article published by the Philippine Information Agency (PIA), Barbers filed House Resolution 358 to formally recognize “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” team’s effort and courage in tackling sensitive issues that are happening in real life.

“The producers, cast and crew of the TV show, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano are doing a great job. Tila makatotohanan ang mga sitwasyon na pinapakita sa palabas,” said Barbers, who chairs the Committee on Dangerous Drugs in the House of Representatives.
For his part, Coco posted on his Instagram his appreciation for the recognition:
