Megastar Sharon Cuneta posted on her Facebook page that her youngest daughter Miel was rushed to the hospital early morning of Monday, the same day she (Sharon) made the announcement that she is back with ABS-CBN.
What transpired that early morning was Miel was taken to the hospital by her husband Food Security Secretary Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan because Miel was suffering from a terrible cough and an asthma attack. Here is the post of Sharon on Facebook:

“Today is a day I have been praying for and looking forward to for some time now. Sure, I’ve know about this day since August (!), but still had lots of preparation to do. And today of all days, just as she was on her way to recovering from the bad cough and flu we’ve all been beset with almost at the same time (Miguel and Kiko are still sick), my Miel was rushed by her Daddy to the hospital early this morning. She couldn’t breathe. It was a terrible cough and asthma attack.”
“My husband, bless his heart, did not wake me up. He knew what today meant to me so he let me sleep (I didn’t get too much but at least a good some!). Around 3:00 a.m. he left with Miel and came home around 7. Just when I woke up. I was shocked when he told me. But was I scared? No. I knew something bad was bound to happen, because that is how the devil works. He does everything he can to steal our joy. He still refuses to learn that our God is THE God.“
“I have already visited my baby girl in the hospital and she is up and about, walking, watching cartoons on TV). She was smiling when I walked in and until I left. My staff and I prayed in my van on our way there, and are now confident to face the day we have thanked and praised God for, and offered to Him.“
