Scammers use fake documents to sell Angeline Quinto’s car

Three suspects were arrested by the National Bureau of Investigation-NCR agents for trying to sell singer Angeline Quinto’s 2014 Toyota Prado using faked documents.

In a report by GMA 7 “24 Oras”, the scam is known as “talon”, where people use fake documents and will try to trick customers into buying cars for a very affordable price.

The report further indicated that Angeline who is still paying for the car had planned to return the car to it’s dealer. But a sales agent offered to buy the car from Angeline and entered into an “open deed of sale” agreement. The suspects then will try to sell the car using faked registration and receipt.
