On October 27, 2014, actress Ruffa Gutierrez exchanged harsh words with her mother through their Twitter accounts.
This online dispute was said to have started when Ruffa walks out from her mother’s birthday celebration last October 25, 2014.
After this incident, Ruffa shared with ABS-CBN news that she and her mother had reconciled.
“[Me and my mother], we have a love and hate relationship sometimes. But at the end of the day, [she is still my mother]. No matter how mad my mom is to me, at the end of the day, [as her daughter, I should be the one to make a step in order for us to have peace,” Ruffa shared.
She also said that she understands that her mother is just protecting her, especially when it comes into entering a relationship, but in the end Ruffa reminded Annabelle that she is not a teenager anymore.
“Mom, I’m not 16 years old anymore, maybe because I’m her only daughter, she tends to forget that I am in fact is a mother too, and I am separated with my first marriage. If ever I make mistakes, when it comes to love, allow me to make those mistakes because I’ll learn from them eventually,” explained Ruffa.
