According to her, she was advised to be in bed rest for six months—that made her incapable of working. Also, Rufa stated that her savings from her show business career made it easier for her to sustain all the medical expenses and fully recover from sickness since she underwent six operations.
Now, all Rufa wants is her experience to be an example to everyone, especially to women, to have their breast checked to avoid any health problems that may put their lives at risk. Rufa’s personal experience and struggle made her a lot stronger and that leads her to be an advocate of breast awareness.
