Rihanna named best-selling digital artist

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) announced that the R&B singer Rihanna topped Single Awards list because she has more than 100 million Gold & Platinum song certifications.

According to Cary Sherman, Chairman & CEO of RIAA, “She has not only surpassed RIAA’s one-hundred million mark, but also is the first artist to do so. It’s an historic feat and a testament to an extraordinary career.”

On her Instagram account, Rihanna shared the following photo, captioned:

“histoRIH!!!! First and only!!!
God is great!!! #RIAA #digitalQueen #RIHmilli”

The 27 year-old singer’s recent single “Bitch Better Have My Money” went platinum. Meanwhile, “Four Five Seconds” is currently multi-platinum.

Rihanna is the artist behind popular hits such as ‘We Found Love’, ‘Stay’, ‘Only Girl (In the World)’, ‘Umbrella’, etc.

It has also been a decade since Rihanna entered the international music industry but with her recent achievement, there are more years for Rihanna to celebrate music.
