Upon his arrival on January 15, 2015, Filipino’s rejoiced, shed tears of joy, spoke words of admiration to the People’s Pope and gathered as one as we embrace the blessings he gave us during his stay.
With his visit in Tacloban last January 18, 2015, known for his jolly personality, and spontaneous characteristics, it was not a surprise when Pope Francis approached a girl on a wheelchair with a facemask and ask her to take a selfie with him.
“Selfie?” was his exact words to 16 year old Tricia Farnacio as the Philippine Star reported.
Tricia then took out her mobile phone and quickly shared her prized photo on Twitter and was so thankful that her effort to see the humble Pope was all worth it. She is suffering from a kidney disease.
“We cancelled my treatment in Tagaytay just to see the pope. I was so nervous” said Tricia.
