Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach is back in Manila to crown her successor at this year’s Binibining Pilipinas pageant. Pia admitted that she’s a bit nervous with the entire process but added that she will definitely give the winner pointers to win the Miss Universe crown.
GMA 7 Senior News Reporter Nelson Canlas was given a chance to ask Pia 10 questions and one of his question was the statement made by former Miss Universe Gloria Diaz that the Philippines should not host the Miss Universe pageant and the country should pay more attention to other more important matters.
Pia said she will respect the reasons and views of Miss Diaz for her stand but Pia believes the sentiments of the general public is that everyone is very excited about hosting the Miss Universe pageant in the Philippines.
“Hopefully kung makukuha natin yung nod ng Board of Tourism, and the government, and the private sector, the sponsors, and everyone who wants to get involve, we can get the pageant here and imbitahin natin sya (Gloria Diaz).” said Pia.
