Paolo added that even before he joined TV5, the network already knew about the tape. GMA7 and ABS-CBN also obtained a copy of the said video but the networks did not report it. Something that Paolo is very thankful for.
Paolo said he perfectly understand the decision of TV5 for asking him to take a leave from news reporting:
“I understand that it is difficult for people to watch the news with me in my suit and thinking something else”
Paolo said that the hardest part of the entire ordeal is knowing that he has hurt the people important to him:
“The hardest part is having to deal with my partner in the video. Having to deal with the fact that it was my fault. Yung pinakamasakit yung may sinaktan ka. Yung pamilya ko. nasaktan yung babae na kasama ko sa video.”
Paolo took the opportunity to apologize to his family, to his partner, to his friends, and to all his fans for the unfortunate incident:
“Sorry to my family for the shame i brought to them for that period of time. To the viewers, fans, admirers, people who have been supportive all these years – i would like to say from the bottom of my heart if i disappointed anyone – i am really sorry.”
