Days before the Miss Earth 2016, reigning Miss Earth Angelia Ong made a special appearance on the ABS-CBN nightly program “Tonight With Boy Abunda.”
In the “TWBA” episode that aired Wednesday night, October 26, the back-to-back Miss Earth titlist opened up about being overshadowed by the win of Pia Wurtzbach as Miss Universe.

“There was really a time. Iniyakan ko po,” Angelia admitted to host Boy Abunda.
“As a Filipina, I’m so proud of her. I mean, I adore her. I respect iyong pinagdaanan nya. Nakaka-relate po kasi ako Tito Boy eh. It wasn’t also easy for me. But, as Miss Earth, syempre medyo nalungkot ako ng konti. Hindi na ako nagkaroon ng opportunity to have a welcome home parade. Tapos, syempre I wasn’t able also to meet the President, even the past one. Nasaktan talaga ako,” Angelia continued.
