Indie film actress Mercedes Cabral apologized to Regal Entertainment matriarch “Mother” Lily Monteverde for her insensitive remarks. Cabral called Mother Lily a ‘f**cking id**t’ after the well respected producer said the Metro Manila Film Festival is for children and families, and not the time for indie films.
Regal’s Mano Po 7: Chinoy failed to make it to the Top 8 while the indie film ‘Oro’ where Cabral is a part of made it.
Netizens and celebrities slammed Cabral for her statement saying her remarks is totally unacceptable and disrespectful specially addressing it to someone who has contributed a lot in the development of the local entertainment industry.
Mother Lily never reacted nor issued any statement regarding Cabral’s remarks.
