Maria Sofia Love’s selfie videos where she was seen “mowdelling” while uttering remarks such as “Pak”, “Para sa Ekonomiya ng Pilipinas” went viral online. She has been travelling across different countries to spread love and happiness.
In an interview with Aquino and Abunda Tonight on Monday (August 10, 2015), Maria Sofia Love bares the reason why Hong Kong is a special place to her. According to the online star, her experience on the said places changed her perception in life. She said that in the midst of her depression, she met a couple in Hong Kong who showed kindness to her.

“I was very very down and I cannot sleep so I party all night. I went to a beautiful restaurant just like what I do always. I was drinking.” said Maria.
“And there’s a beautiful couple I will never forget this. They said, ‘Sofia I know you are in something. My advice is never give up. Never give up,'” added Maria Sofia Love.
She then turned and told the viewers not to give up. Show host Boy Abunda agreed and said, “Because it resonates. When you say never give up. When there’s two people you met in Hong Kong who told you to never give up and when you say that today, we listen. And we will also not give up.”
