The political battle for the 2016 presidential election is taking a clearer shape as Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo finally accepted to be the running mate of Liberal Party (LP) standard-bearer Manuel “Mar” Roxas II.
“buong puso, buong pananampalataya at buong-tapat ko pong tinatanggap ang hamon na tumakbo bilang pangalawang pangulo ni Secretary Mar Roxas” Leni Robredo said.
Congresswoman Leni Robredo admitted that it was not an easy decision for her and her family.
Mar Roxas for his part praised Leni Robredo and her daughters for their sacrifice, commitment and desire to serve the country.
Meanwhile, the mother of Leni Robredo said her daughter was pressured to accept the position.
