Besides the boxing champ Manny Pacquaio, renowned singer Lea Salonga was also invited as a judge for the Miss Universe pageant. Lea was part of the competition in 2011 where Angola won the crown while our representative that time, Shamcey Supsup won third place.
With the recent disappointments our fellow countrymen felt with the result for the 63rd Miss Universe because MJ Lastimosa only made it to the Top 10 list, a lot of Netizens can’t help but criticized Manny over the result, and one even included Lea to the bashing.
A particular tweet caught the attention off Lea and defended her part.
“@geneyulo @MannyPacquiao [There were 9 other judges] even if I put Philippines 1st, if everyone else places her last, [nothing happens]. Haaaay common sense” Lea posted on her Twitter page last January 25, 2015.
Now that is something to ponder.
