Over a month after suffering from aneurysm, veteran actor Julio Diaz shared how the incident affected and changed him after facing the greatest battle of his life.
Based on his exclusive interview with ABS-CBN’s weekly magazine show program ‘Rated K’ which aired on Sunday (May 22, 2016), the 57-year-old actor talked about his life realizations following his recovery from aneurysm.

According to the veteran actor, he remains extremely grateful for being blessed with a “second life.” Apparently, the doctors informed the family of Julio that he only has 48 hours left to live by the time he was rushed to the hospital.
“Unang una sa Panginoong Diyos, maraming salamat sa Kanya asi nga itong buhay na ito ay hiram lang at binigyan Niya ulit ako ng panibagong buhay. Nowadays sabi ko, ang sarap pala mabuhay na lumalaban ka. Ang Panginoong Diyos ay binigyan tayo ng buhay. Binigay Niya iyan sayo because mahal ka Niya at dapat mahalin mo rin Siya katulad ng pagmamahal Niya sa buhay na ibinigay Niya sa ‘yo.”
As of now, Julio continues to recover from his surgery and is currently staying in Baguio City with his family. Despite going through such trials, the veteran actor admitted that he remains hopeful that one day, he will be able to make a comeback in the industry he has always been passionate about.
