With three decades of experience in the entertainment industry, 38-year-old actress Judy Ann Santos told Pep.ph that she understands where Dubsmash Queen Maine Mendoza was coming from in her blog post ‘That’s How It Works’.
In the said blog post, Maine shared how changing oneself to fit the mold of the industry is not something she would subscribe to, although many argue it is essential to maintain the stardom status by being a people-pleaser.

Maine wrote: “Why bother trying to be someone you are not when you can just be yourself? Why seek for people’s approval on how to live your life? Why let other people’s opinions define you? Is that how it should work?”
According to Judy Ann, she knows that Maine is surprised and overwhelmed by the attention and the expectations of people from her as the young star just entered show business last 2015.
