“Basher nga is short for basura.” This is the short reply of commediam Joey De Leon when asked to comment regarding his recent Nepal related Twitter post which earned the ire of netizens, calling the commedian ‘insensitive’.
During the press conference for supermarket chain Puregold’, Joey said he was just playing with words in relation to the post. Sometimes you don’t mean what you said.
Joey was criticized by bashers for his Nepal joke, saying the joke was done in a wrong time.
Joey said bashers should be ignored and should not be taken seriously.
“Magugulo ang isip ng mga bashers. Mga wala lang magawa yun. Pag nam-babash ka, ibig sabihin wala kang mai-share na magandang idea sa pinapasok mong item or whatever” said Joey.
Joey ended his statement by saying “Basher nga is short for basura.”
