Contrary to stereotypical 18th birthday celebrations, Kapamilya teen actress Janella Salvador opted for a simple celebration for her upcoming debut by giving back to people who are in need.
On Tuesday (March 22, 2016), Nice Print Photography uploaded an edited video on its official YouTube Channel which encapsulated Janella’s prized moments during her simple, yet meaningful “18 blessings” celebration.

Through the video, Janella shared that instead of receiving gifts on her special day, she recently realized that it is more fulfilling to give and help the less fortunate ones. As seen on the video, she prepared 18 grocery bags and umbrellas which she randomly donated to the needy in the streets of Metro Manila.
Also through the vide, Janella expressed her opinion on grand, extravagant birthday celebrations. According to the young actress, there is nothing wrong in making one’s self feel good but everyone must not forget to reach out and help those who are in need.
“It’s fine to celebrate for yourself and to make yourself feel good and to gather all your friends and family pero I just want all the people not to forget those who don’t even have the money to buy a simple meal for their birthday.”
