According to the chairman of the Committee on Programs and Deputy Secretary General for Legislative Operations Atty. Artemio Adasa Jr., Gwyneth was chosen to give the rightful recognition in return for her mercurial achievement on the said competition. And for representing the world class talent of Filipinos.

“This is in recognition of the mercurial achievement of a young girl, whose singing ability is adored not only in Asia but worldwide. She truly represents the vast and incredible wealth of talents the Filipino youth can offer,” Adasa said.

Gwyneth did not win the grand prize but she made an impact with the judges David Foster, Melanie C, Anggun, and Vaness Wu with her rendition of the hit pop song “Titanium.”
