Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte confirmed that Alan Peter Cayetano would be his vice-presidential running mate in 2016.
Duterte decided to run for President after the Senate Electoral Tribunal (SET) decided to junk the disqualification case against Senator Grace Poe who is also running for the presidency.
“Nothing against Grace but if you run for the highest post in the land, it must be reserved for a true-blue Filipino.” Duterte said.
Duterte said he will talk to the members of the PDP-Laban to make his tandem with Cayetano formal and official.
