In what is considered a historical event, Donald J. Trump was elected as the 45th president of the United States of America Wednesday (November 9, 2016), after igniting an unexpected strong support from white voters who embraced his ideology.
The tight race defied most polls showing Hillary Clinton as the leading candidate of the election, however, a surge of voters in rural America not seen before were a catalyst in Mr. Trump’s victory in snagging the 270 Electoral College Vote needed to win the election.

In his victory speech, Mr Trump revealed that Hillary Clinton has called him and conceded, despite earlier when her campaign said they were going to wait until the morning.
“She has congratulated us. On our victory. And i congratulated her and her family,” Trump said.
