Regional Trial Court Judge Ricky Jones Macabaya issued an arrest warrant for Neri Naig-Miranda and Star Magic road manager Danilyn Nunga for allegedly posting a malicious message in their respective Instagram accounts last 2015.
The Office of the Cebu City Prosecutor indicted Neri and Danilyn for libel in relation to Republic Act 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
The case started when Neri and Danilyn posted on Instagram a photo of the complainants — Clarence Taguiam and friend Donna Marie Go and labelled them as “bogus and fictitious” sellers. Danilyn allegedly bought a Go Pro Hero3 Action Camera from the complainants and paid P 7,500.00 but did not receive the item. Neri reposted the photo.
Clarence denied selling any camera to Danilyn.
A bail of P10,000 each was recommended for the temporary freedom of the accused.
