Through the interview, Atak narrated how Direk Wenn found out about his sister’s condition; stating that one of Direk Wenn’s staff called him to say that Ate Wawa (Direk Wenn’s older sister) was rushed to the hospital. Since Direk Wenn along with his family and close friends were still having dinner at that time, the director merely relied on the updates given by his driver.
By the time Direk Wenn and Atak reached the hospital, the director’s sister has been revived thrice and was under critical condition. Atak shared that at that time, Direk Wenn was even trying to lighten the mood by throwing some jokes—which is normal to the director’s comedic persona. But when the doctors were trying to revive Ate Wawa for the fifth time, Direk Wenn and his other siblings have decided to let go of Ate Wawa.
The comedian said that Direk Wenn even went inside the emergency room to take a photo of his sister for his other siblings who are based in the United States. Atak narrated that by the time Direk Wenn stepped out of the emergency room, the award-winning director who has always been known to be high-spirited, broke down in front of his friends.
