It seems the Miss Universe 2015 controversy involving Miss Philippines Pia Wurtzbach and Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez is not yet over to some Colombians.
Miss Universe host Steve Harvey mistakenly announced that Miss Colombia is the 2015 Miss Universe winner when in fact Miss Philippines is the real winner.
A certain Noider Almanza Barraza who hails from Barranquilla, Colombia posted on Facebook a video showing two effigies (one representing Pia and the other representing Steve) being burned in New Year’s eve as part of the Colombian tradition to turn away bad luck in the coming year.
Filipino netizens criticize the act and described the effigy buring as “disrespectful.”
