Christina Grimmie gunman identified by police

The gunman who shot “The Voice” singer Christina Grimmie was identified by Orlando Police, a day after Christina was fatally shot in the head late Friday (June 10, 2016) while signing autographs and meeting fans.

Orlando Police identified Christina’s shooter as Kevin James Loibl, a 27-year-old from St. Petersburg, Florida. Kevin shot himself after being tackled by Christina’s brother to avoid causing more danger to other people at the venue.

According to police reports, Kevin James traveled all the way to Orlando on Friday (June 10, 2016) to deliberately target The Voice singer, Christina Grimmie.

The police described the murder as a hate crime after detectives did some examination of Kevin’s recent posts and e-mails.

According to police reports, there were no indication that Christina knew her assailant before he came up to her and opened fire. Kevin was discovered to be carrying two handguns, loaded magazines, and a large hunting knife.

The unfortunate event happened after her show with ‘Before You Exit’ at the Plaza Live Theater on Florida last Friday (June 10, 2016).
