After more than 10 years, a new reality comedian search on television has been born again – “Funny One” which will start on Saturday, June 27 as a daily segment of the noontime variety show “It’s Showtime”. Funnyman Bayani Agbayani will be joining the Showtime Family and hosting the said segment.

It could be remembered that comedians such as Pokwang and Empoy are products of reality comedian searches years ago.
According to Bayani, “Funny One” is a reality search for male comedians such as Dolphy and Panchito.
In an interview with Bayani on Aquino and Abunda tonight, Boy Abunda congratulates Bayani for officially being part of “It’s Showtime”. Bayani could not help but express his gratitude, saying, “Thank you Lord. Salamat po sa ABS-CBN.”
Bayani was emotional on his showbiz comeback, saying, “Masarap. Masarap kasi po yung unang nag-taping kami, sinabihan ako ng mga Boss natin, ‘Welcome Back home’ kaya nakakataba ng puso parang iba pa rin po talaga kapag pumasok ka ng bahay mo. Relax ka eh. Kahit san ka nanggaling. Kahit san ka pumunta. Nagbakasyon ka. Pag pasok mo ng bahay mo, ‘yun ‘yung pinaka relax na mararamdaman mo sa moment ng buhay mo eh.”
Before his showbiz comeback, Bayani shared that his life centers on to his family. He narrated how God knocked to his door to open career opportunities for him, saying, “Ako ang panuntunan ko sa buhay ko, relax lang ako. Diyos na ang bahalang magbigay sa kin ng trabaho. Tulog. Alaga ng bata, sa pamilya. Pagkatapos, binibigay na sa ‘yo lahat eh.”
He also encouraged everyone to watch the said segment, saying, “Nakita ko po lahat ng contestant, yung mga ‘komikeros’. Napakagagaling nila,” said Bayani.
