Around 2 in the morning on Friday (August 28, 2015), Ka Tunying’s Café located along Visayas Avenue in Barangay Vasra, Quezon City was in chaos as two gunmen fired shots at the one-week old coffee shop.
According to the security guard of the establishment, two men approached him to ask whether or not he had a firearm. When the guard said he had none, the two men drew their guns and aimed at the coffee shop’s glass windows.
Quezon City police are now reviewing the CCTV recordings to identify the gunmen. Investigators told that they are considering the angle of Anthony Taberna’s job as a broadcast journalist as a motive behind the shooting.
No one was reported hurt in the incident.
