Veteran actress Celia Rodriguez who portrayed the role of Valentina in the “Lipad, Darna, Lipad” (1972) trilogy movie, praised “La Luna Sangre” actress Angel Locsin for her performance as ‘Darna.’
In an article written by Ricky Lo for The Philippine Star, Celia Rodriguez shared who she thought best portrayed the role of Darna.

She chose Angel Locsin as the best Darna, she said “She is perfect for the role. She had the figure for it. She was fearless. She refused to have a double even when portions of her body were badly hurt by the harness.”
The two actresses worked together in Angel Locsin’s 2005 remake of Darna. Wherein Celia played the role of antagonist Bragoda who came from Outer Space, who invented Valentine who was played by Alessandra de Rossi.
