Box-Office Comedy Queen Ai-Ai delas Alas wholeheartedly accepted the responsibility to help former child actor Jiro Manio to recover from his condition. On previous reports, Jiro was seen roaming around the Ninoy Aquino International Airport’s departure area for four days and people are providing him with food and clothes.
Ai-Ai shared that she asks for God’s help in guiding Jiro. She said, “Sinabi ko na rin kay Lord, ‘Kung ito po yung task Niyo para sa akin, yung bago kong misyon, e, okay lang po. ‘Basta tulungan Niyo lang po ako na maging healthy, and tulungan Niyo po rin ako na magabayan ko si Jiro nang tama.”

Kung ano po yung itinulong Niyo sa akin na maging gabay sa mga totoo kong anak, mga biological kong mga anak, yun din po yung itulong Niyo sa akin ngayon. ‘Kasi medyo tough yung tatahakin ko kay Jiro,” added Ai-Ai.
As an adopted child herself, Ai-Ai said she understands where Jiro is coming from and empathizes his longing for a father.
She said, “Alam ko yung feeling na ganun, e, na yung longing. Tapos ‘pag nakita mo na yun, dun pa lang medyo matatapos yung emosyon mong ganun, e. Kasi, ‘di ba, adopted ako?”
“Nung dati na hindi ko pa alam sino nanay ko, sino tatay ko nung maliit ako, hindi nawawala yung feeling na hindi ko maintindihan kung bakit. Hanap ako nang hanap ng kung anu-ano. So, nung nalaman ko na kung sino yung nanay ko, sino yung tatay ko, natapos na yung emosyon kong ganun,” elaborated the Box-Office Comedy Queen.
With this, Ai-Ai promises to bring Jiro to Japan so he can meet his biological father.
