Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray has just been hailed as this year’s Miss Universe and the 4th Filipina to earn the crown in the prestigious pageant.
While Filipinos are rejoicing over Catriona’s victory, some could not help but notice her stunning red gown inspired by the Mayon volcano which apparently completed the colors of the Philippine flag, remembering the gowns of the past Pinay Miss Universe.

The first ever Pinay Miss Universe Gloria Diaz wore yellow when she was crowned in 1969 while Miss Universe 1973 Margarita “Margie” Moran wore white when she was hailed as queen.
The most recent queen before Catriona, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach wore her iconic blue gown when she won in the pageant.
