After winning her first-ever acting award, Glaiza de Castro shared the spotlight with the star whom, according to her, she owed the recognition to. In her speech during The PEP List Year 3 where she bagged the Teleserye Actress of the Year for the daring GMA 7 series ‘The Rich Man’s Daughter’, Glaiza expressed her gratitude to Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera.
“Ang sarap sa pakiramdam, hindi mo ini-expect na mangyayari, kasi siyempre, ilang taon na ang nakaraan. Natutuwa ako na nagbunga lahat ng yun, yung mga pag-aalinlangan. Mga hirap kung paano ko rin ginampanan ito. Isa rin ‘to na paalala to be thankful sa mga tao na tumulong sa akin para marating ko kung anuman ang meron ako ngayon,” Glaiza said, as quoted in Pep.ph.

Originally, Glaiza, who played the role of Althea, was supposed to star opposite Marian, who was initially cast as Jade. Glaiza revealed during her speech that Marian personally called her to share the details of the project with her.
