The Golden Globes awardee director Richard Linklater is rumored to be helming “The Rosie Project.” The director was reportedly the Sony Picture’s present front runner to direct the Jennifer Lawrence movie.
The said movie was supposedly to be directed by “The Lego Movie” helmers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, but the duo lately withdrew from the project to direct the “Star Wars” sequel about a young Han Solo.
“The Project Rosie” was originally a novel by Australian writer Graeme Simsion. It was adapted by “Paper Towns” and “500 Days of Summer” screenwriters Michael H. Weber and Scott Neustadter for the screen.
The story is about a genetics professor with limited social skills who develops a scientific survey to find his perfect mate. Then he meets and falls in love with a mismatched woman Rosie (Jennifer Lawrence).
