The rumor that singer Pops Fernandez and former Ilocos Sur Governor Chavit Singson are dating started around August of 2014.
In an interview with Pep, the ex-husband of Pops, Martin Nievera thinks that there is no truth with this issue and believes that Pops and Chavit are just really good friends.
Basing from Martin’s own words, some people are probably just “putting some seasoning once again” regarding this rumor.

“Is that for real? You guys may have the wrong guy. I’m almost sure you have the wrong guy. I know they’re very good friends. They’ve always been good friends” Martin shared.
He also shared that he had met a lot of his ex-wife guy friends but not sure if one of those is courting her.
Martin added that Pops is single and very available.
