After ABS-CBN made the announcement that actress Liza Soberano will play the iconic superhero ‘Darna’, actress Angel Locsin gave Liza some ‘Darna’ comics to read in support of her being selected as the new ‘Darna’.
Angel played the role of ‘Darna’ and was supposed to star in the new series but health got in the way. Angel suffered a back injury that prevented her from playing the role.

On his Instagram account, Liza’s manager Ogie Diaz shared some photos showing the gifts sent by Angel to Liza.
A couple of months back, Angel on her Instagram account posted a message thanking her fans and followers for their support and wishes the next lady who will play Darna all the best.
