The guessing game and the speculations as to who will be the next ‘Darna’ can now be put to rest. ABS-CBN confirmed that actress Liza Soberano will play the iconic role of the female superhero.
In a TV interview by MJ Felipe aired on ABS-CBN TV Patrol, Liza also confirmed that she has accepted the challenge to be the next Darna.

““Yes it’s confirmed, tinatanggap ko na po ang role na Darna.” said Liza. Liza added that she felt excited, happy and a little bit nervous to play the role.

“Sobra na-excite ako at sympre am happy and I feel really honored to be able to doned the iconic costume and to be able to embody what Darna represents” said Liza. “I will give my more than 100% best sa project na ito.” added Liza.
Liza admitted that she really want the role and she hopes she will learn a lot from this project.
