K-pop band Girls’ Generation Kicks Out 1 Member

Jessica Jung, one of Girls’ Generation band member was shocked when she was informed by her eight colleagues and agency that she was no longer part of the band.

The Korean pop band Girls’ Generation started in the year 2007 and hit it big with their first track titled ‘gee’.

The group then became famous not just in Korea but all through out Asia.

The news that Jessica Jung will no longer be a part of the said group was unexpected specially to their fans. This trended on social networks and messages poured in from devastated fans.

The band is managed by SM Entertainment, it insisted that Jessica had expressed an intention to quit earlier this year to focus on her newly launched fashion business.

Jessica launched her own fashion line “BLANC” in August of 2014.

“As the band had conflicting priorities and interests and Jessica started her own fashion business, we came to a conclusion that we can no longer continue the band like this,” SM Entertainment stated.

SM Entertainment also insisted that ‘Girls Generation’ would keep going with the remaining eight members.

“I am devastated, my priority and love is to serve as a member of GG but for no justifiable reason, I am being forced out,” posted Jessica Jung on her micro blogging Weibo account.
