During the 3rd Silk Road Film Festival held in Dublin, Ireland from March 18 to March 22 of 2015, our very own Allen Dizon took home the pride and won the Best Actor award.
He was awarded because of his performance in the movie entitled “Magkakabaung” or The Coffin Maker which was directed by Jason Paul Laxamana. The movie was also awarded the Best Film at the said film festival.

Allen won over the other nominees namely Gerard Depardieu of “The Voice of Steppe,” Sofi Jikan of “Men Who Save The World,” Iwase Ryo of “Midsummers Fantasia,” and Mohammad Javad Ezzati of “Angels Descend Together.”
This is the third international best actor award that Allen received for [The Coffin Maker]. He also won the Best Actor trophy at the 9th Harlem International Film Festival in New York and the Hanoi International Film Festival in Vietnam in 2014.
