“Agent 007” Pierce Brosnan stopped at airport with knife

Former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan has been stopped by Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers at Burlington International Airport in Vermont after a 10-inches hunting knife was found in his hand-carry luggage.

The Irish-American Hollywood star was allegedly embarrassed and annoyed after the knife was taken away by TSA agents. However he shifted the knife into his checked baggage instead.

TSA rules declare that sharp objects such as knives, scissors and box cutters longer than 4 inches should be kept in checked luggage.

Lieutenant Shawn Burke of the Burlington Police Department confirmed the incident and said that the 62-year-old actor was then allowed to board a flight to Detroit.

On Sunday (August 2, 2015), the actor posted on his Instagram account a picture of himself on a beach with the caption: “Homeward bound”.
